The Irony : Selling Food to Curb His Own Hunger


Food! What is it? A necessity, an art or a way to support living and survival? I am a littleconfused.

A few days back, while was sitting alone at a quiet place, I noticed something. A person, standing in the sun, the temperature must have beenaround 37 degrees, sweat dripping from all over his face, yet he was standing next to his cycle cum shop. A shop on which he sold food, such as simple Indian pooris, for maybe 5 bucks a plate. I was sitting quite nearby, and I saw so many people, all of the casual laborers, eating what he offered. As it was lunch time, I estimated mentally, the revenue he must be generating throughout the day, and I estimated it to be around 150 bucks.

How can one survive like this? 150 bucks a day? Even if he ate his own leftover food, he must…
