Holi mumbai!


The arrival scene in Mumbai was unfortunately similar to our experience in Hampi with a crowd of over ambitious taxi (no rickshaws in Mumbai!) drivers which make it hard to even put own the backpack and walk one meter. In our anger and frustration about this we decided to rather walk along the city highway for a bit than taking any of those greedy crows who always charge ridiculously high tourist prices. Speaking of which- this is a topic that we have not mentioned so far. Basically any public institution has tourist and Indian prices, which are very often 50-100x the amount. While Indians would pay 5rp entrance, we would pay 500rp. Now 500rp are still not even 10€ and therefore on about European price level, we still find this open discrimination rather annoying.
