Black sand beach – Tithal

gadhaprasad

Been to Tithal beach this weekend, its around 4km from Valsad in the state of Gujrat. And around 200km from Mumbai. Famous for its black sand long empty beach and comparatively less crowded than beaches of Mumbai. There is a Swami Narayan Temple at other end and a restaurant, which closes by 10:30pm.

Valsad is the nearest railway station, and majority of trains has stoppage of atleast 5-10 mins. Shuttle passanger from Virar is another option if travelling by train from Mumbai. Tithal beach is well connected with Auto rickshaw and GSRTC buses available at the Valsad station on the west side of the exit.

There are few hotels available near the beach for accomodations however Bombay jain society’s 1BHK and duplex flats are best and cheapest option available at Rs 450/- only.  They have their own canteen as well.
