Akshaya Bhavan at Tiruvallur

Wheels, Spoons and a point of view

At the outskirts of Chennai in a town of Thiruvallur is a restaurant called Akshaya Bhavan. Located on the route from Chennai to Tirupati this became our pitstop for breakfast when we went to Tirupati as a family.  With a team of my inlaws, my wife’s aunt and then my wife, son and myself it was never going to be an easy choice to eat. But waking in the early morning and then just relieved to have crossed Chennai traffic meant that we all agreed to stop here.

Akshaya Bhavan is a hearty Tamiliam restaurant which meant that they did not have a menu card on the board but the waiter rattled off the items when asked. Pongal, Vada, Idli, Ghee Roast Dosa, Masala Dosa and Idiappam were the dishes available.
