It may not look much in the photo, but honestly it’s delicious! I’m always amazed at how so much flavour can come from just five simple ingredients. It packs a real kick of garlic, so make sure you have some mints to hand for any post-lunch meetings. Lentils make sure it goes further and keeps you full for the rest of the day.
It’s a traditional Bengali family recipe from my boyfriend, normally served as a side with a chicken or lamb curry, but it’s just as good as the starring part of a meal by itself.
