The bus left Delhi right after sunset heading for the north. The trip was long and bitterly cold, not even protecting ourselves with sleeping bags and several layers of clothes we were able to escape from it. We barely slept and when awake we were (or at least I was) getting a little bit dizzy, as the roads were curved and bumpy. At around 4 in the morning we were awoken by the bus driver which shouted at us in Hindi, we assumed that he said that we had to get off the bus and so we did.

It was early and we were all sleepy. We found ourselves in the middle of a bus station which looked rather unfinished and very cold, but we were not lonely, there were at least 15 taxi drivers waiting for the buses like vultures expecting a prey.  We had no hotel reservation so…
